2010 Plan: Real Solutions for America

Real Health Care Solutions

If we want real competition in health care, we need to keep the government out of it.  When the government gets involved in the private sector, it doesn’t compete, it inhibits.  That is why real health care reform should strengthen the patient-doctor relationship, instead of getting between it , and make strengthening patient choice a priority.

1.    Allow small businesses and associations to pool together to obtain health insurance
2.    Allow plans to cross state lines
3.    We must allow states to truly be “Laboratories of Democracy” by freeing the states to be innovative in how they deliver health care services
4.    Tort reform - put a cap on runaway medical malpractice  litigation
5.     Adopt new technologies that can lower the cost of care and increase the quality of care - like tele-health programs
