Yuma Republican Cory Gardner has announced his candidacy in 2010 for the 4th Congressional District, a seat now held by Democrat Betsy Markey.
Gardner touted his roots in the district where his family has lived for more than 100 years and said he wants to head to Washington, D.C., to rein in "the bureaucrats and the fat cats."
He's served in the state House since 2005. He'll first face Tom Lucero in a GOP primary for the seat formerly held by Republican Marilyn Musgrave.
