Diggs Brown former council colleagues back Cory Gardner
Republican congressional candidate Cory Gardner issued a press release Thursday listing a number of endorsements from Northern Colorado elected officials. Most prominent, for me at least, were several people who worked closely with Diggs Brown during his time on the Fort Collins City Council.
Brown is also seeking the GOP nod for the 4th Congressional District seat, along with University of Colorado Regent Tom Lucero and Loveland businessman Dean Madere.
Current Fort Collins council member Wade Troxell and his predecessor, Kurt Kastein, both endorsed Gardner, even though they frequently allied with Brown on the council.
Mayor Doug Hutchinson also was a frequent Brown ally on the council and his wife and chief political advisor, Cathy Hutchinson. also endorsed Gardner. The mayor is officially neutral as best I can tell.
