State Rep. Cory Gardner has a sizable financial advantage over his Republican rivals in the 4th Congressional District heading into the March 16 precinct caucuses that will start the nominating process.
In a year-end report to the Federal Election commission filed Sunday, Gardner reported raising $198,000 in the final quarter and $591,000 since entering the race in May. The Yuma resident had $383,000 in the bank at the end of the year, or 10 times as much as his three GOP rivals combined.
"I continue to be humbled and honored by the tremendous grass-roots and financial support that I have received from across the district," Gardner said.
